Ocean Vista Public Bathroom

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Ocean Vista Public Bathroom by Manuel Lap Yan Lam Ocean Vista is a public toilet renovation project located along the coastal trail at Coloane Macau on the hillside facing the ocean. By reorganizing the interior spatial layout and introducing new functional elements on top, the new design optimizes function of a public bathroom, and brings human closer to nature. The brown and reddish functional elements that adhere to existing structure are inspired by the rocks along the costal trail. The new viewing platform and seatings provide people a place to enjoy the ocean view and to observe the stars at night - it is an authentic public space.
