YI JIAN ARCHITECTS

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Renewal of the 12th Mine Hospital Nursing Center by YI JIAN ARCHITECTS The 12th Mine Hospital in this city was built in 1985, and as the city's coal mining industry has shrunk, this miner's hospital has remained unused. Faced with a growing elderly population in the city, the owner wanted to update the hospital into a medical and nursing care facility. The overall strategy was to let the 12th Mine Hospital to integrated into the natural park. As the history of hospital, the architect wanted to respect the layout of the existing buildings and increase their attractiveness by updating the facade and renewing the function.
