Architecture, Building and Structure Design The Sliced House by Yukihiro Nakagawa The Sliced House was built by Japanese architect Yukihiro Nakagawa in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. The compact design of the house eliminates wasted space and maximizes family and storage space. Entranceway is characterized by cutting the first floor at an angle from two directions, while also reinforcing the structure to meet Japanese regulations and withstand earthquakes. The windows provide a beautiful view of nature that changes with the seasons and also let in ample light, making the design environmentally friendly.
