Komazawa Daigaku Station

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Komazawa Daigaku Station by Uds Ltd. This project transforms an inorganic subway station into a cherished public space. Park inspired, the Under the Park concept casts the station as a tree: an underground roots concourse and symbolic tree buildings with unified visibility. A unique sustainable methodology groups components by three lifecycles: permanent Ground, aging Trees, and renewable Leaves. This creates a park like space that invites staying, redefining the station as a sustainable community hub.
