Architecture, Building and Structure Design BBK35 Boutique Hotel by Laboratory for Diverse Status BBK35 is a hospitality project located in a traditional Chinese courtyard house in BaBouKeng Hutong, Beijing. Siheyuan is a fundamental component of traditional Chinese building typologies. It grows and transforms into variety ways that evolved before and after the China Revolution. It reflects the typical Chinese pattern of building and hierarchical level of thought, and the theory of yin and yang. The key elements of the Five Phases were applied to create a narrative of the traditional family atmosphere in the space. It is a mixture of historical remnants and contemporary culture.
