Architecture, Building and Structure Design Residence in Crete Private House by Anna Garefalaki The L shaped residence, positioned on a large plot of land surrounded by neighbouring buildings, offers sea views to the northwest. The design is articulated in response to this visual connection with the water, establishing a constant dialogue between landscape and architecture. The building's external sides are austere, in order to ensure privacy within, while primary living accommodation is placed at the junction between the home’s two perpendicular volumes. The synthesis aimed for a spatial organization of the building through close contact with nature and the local climate.
