Architecture, Building and Structure Design Marquise Deposit of Rain Water by Ricardo De Castro A sustainable glass and steel structure as the new icon of Barranquilla, Colombia´s port city. Inspired by the marquise diamond cut known as the boat-shaped /navette, reimagines the heritage and cultural treasure of the future city. It contributes to sustainability through a mirror of water with two concrete tanks that collect rainwater, avoiding contamination and collapse of drain lines, allowing reuse of water for irrigation. The obelisk, 145mt tall the highest in Latin America. Its led system and breathtaking panoramic views offer a new identity to current and future generations.
